Yarra River Rowing

First Ivanhoe Sea Scouts is the oldest continually operating Scout Group in Australia, established in 1908 just one year after the famous first trial Scout camp at Brownsea Island with Lord Baden Powell in England.

Since its formation, First Ivanhoe Sea Scouts has provided a valued community service of youth development through the Scout Association.

For many years the group met at the hall in Norman Street by the railway line, behind the Ivanhoe shops before relocating to the larger hall we now occupy in Hawker Street, Ivanhoe.

First Ivanhoe is one the the largest and most active groups, thanks to the selfless contributions of the volunteer leaders and parents.
